Admission to Kagarama Secondary School

Students are admitted to KSS through placement by the Rwanda Education Board (REB) and the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) after National Examinations. Placement decisions are made based on exam results and school availability.

Important: All admissions are processed through REB/NESA placement system. Please ensure you complete the required national examinations to be eligible for placement.

Admission Requirements

Understanding the placement process and requirements

Ordinary Level (O' Level) - S1 to S3

Requirement: Students must take and pass Primary 6 National Examinations.

Placement to O' Level is determined by REB/NESA based on Primary 6 exam results and school availability. Students are placed into S1 (Senior 1) and progress through S2 and S3.

Advanced Level (A' Level) - S4 to S6

Requirement: Students must complete O' Level and pass National Examinations.

Placement to A' Level is determined by REB/NESA based on O' Level National Exam results and school availability. Students are placed into S4 (Senior 4) and progress through S5 and S6.

How Placement Works

Students take National Examinations (Primary 6 for O' Level, O' Level for A' Level)
REB (Rwanda Education Board) and NESA (National Examination and School Inspection Authority) review exam results
Placement decisions are made based on:
• Exam performance and results
• School capacity and availability
Students receive placement notifications through the official REB/NESA system

Transfer Students

Transfers may be possible if space allows, but they must be approved by REB/NESA with proper authorization.

Official transfer authorization from REB/NESA
Transfer letter from your previous school
All required academic records and documentation
Confirmation of available space at KSS
